University’s Bronze Statue for Climate Activist Raises Fears for Greta Thunberg the Girl

It would have made a great April Fools story. On March 30, the University of Winchester unveiled what it said “is believed to be the world’s first life-size sculpture of the young Swedish climate change activist”, Greta Thunberg. Of course, the university had to hedge its bets on being the first. These days you never can be sure who might have a life-sized Bronze Greta tucked away in the garden.

Rhodes must fall. Greta can stay. At least for now.
