The 20-year-old University of Queensland student who carried the coronavirus from Dubai to Brisbane isn’t the only Chinese student who was eager to get back to class in Australia. He’s one of nearly 100,000. And every student has a story.

I know a Chinese student at the University of Sydney who went home to visit family in January. He might have stayed for February’s lunar new year holidays, but he has a dog here in Australia He squeaked in on February 1, just hours before the travel ban too effect.
